రిప్లయితొలగించండిధన్యవాదాలు. పుట్టకముందునుంచి వున్న ఘంటసాల పాటలు రేడియోలో వింటూ పెరిగాను, రాత్రి 10గంటలకు కడప కేంద్రం ప్రసారంచేసే పాత పాటలు, వినీ వినిపించని విజయవాడ కేంద్రం ప్రసారాలను పట్టుకోవాలని ట్యూనింగ్ చేస్తూ చేస్తూ గడిపిన బాల్యం గుర్తుకొస్తోంది.
రిప్లయితొలగించండిరాయబార పద్యాల్లో ఘంటసాల శైలి తక్కిన ఘనాపాటీలకు విభిన్నంగా వున్నా వారికన్నా ఇదే హాయిగా వుంటుందనిపిస్తుంది (నాకు). ఇక కరుణశ్రీ కవిత్వాన్ని ఎఫెక్టివ్‌గా పాడిన ' అంజనరేఖ వాల్గనులా, 'మన దాంపత్యము..', ' రేగిన ముంగురుల్...' ఆహ్ .. అద్భుతం! ఆ గాత్రం అజరామరం.
శంకర్ గారికి, మీరన్నది నిజం. ఘంటసాల గారి పద్యాలు హృద్యంగా, ఆహ్లాదంగా వుంటాయి. మీరు సూచించిన ప్రైవేట్ గీతాలు కూడ పోస్టు చేస్తాను. కొంత వ్యవధి పడుతుంది. మీ సహృదయతకు కృతజ్ఞతలు.

రిప్లయితొలగించండిThe song is from a film whose story revolves around the human weakness of telling lies to eke out one's livelihood;though one does not lie,suppressing truth also is equivalent to lieing-say like not doing justice itself is injustice.If slapping (suppressing truth)is worth approval,saying sorry by self slashes on one's own two cheeks can also be approved.The story of this cinema is born out of this compromising attitude-a natural instinct of a common man.Whatever be the greatness or otherwise of the story,the cinema was adopted for remaking subsequently in Hindi with the very same name -"Jeene ki Raah" & once again in Telugu with the name "Bharya Biddalu" with the same ANR as hero & Jayalalitha in the main heroine role played earlier by Mahanati.People might have forgotten the story,but this particular song of "Brathuku Theruvu" made a permanent abode in their hearts & is still in their green memory.
రిప్లయితొలగించండిThe ease & the comfort with which Ghantasala rendered the song is simply superb & impossible for any other singer either to emulate or to imitate even.With one phrase of words (Pallavi)-"Andame Aanandam" itself Ghantasala made his fans & music lovers suffocative with his melody of his voice;would the Telugu music lover have withstood its further intensity had he obliged the poet's request of adding one more Anupallavi-"Suranandana Vanam Maakandam"?.And precisely when Ghantasala refused to add this "anupallavi",Samudrala added the phrase -"Jeevithame Oka Naataka Rangam"(life is a drama)of Shakespeare
This song was written in accordance with the tune already composed.And though Subbaraman was shown as the music director for the film,the tune for this particular song,as told by Raghavulu-another renowned music director of the yester years,was composed by Ghantasala himself.
The song became so popular that it shook the youth of those days like any thing.All-right from the school children to the College lecturers-whether they have anu avocation on hand or not used to sing this song.Why they alone?Mahanati who played a great role in the cinema appeared to have had a premonition of her future life events & accordingly an imagination only sing vaguely within herself that "life is a love fate" (Jeevithame Anuraaga yoagam")
Another story that went around about this song was that the poet's father Samudrala Senior was annoyed for his son's having copied the meaning of the English poet Keats famous quotation-"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever",as it is.And Malladi Ramakrishna Sastry-another poet Laurent of those days sitting there at that time had reportedly came to the rescue of Junior Samudrala by saying that emotions & prejudices are the same everywhere in the world-wherevere you go & hence it was not a big mistake.
Thus two English poets made entry into this Telugu song.

రిప్లయితొలగించండిEvery bit of the actions by all the three in the song- Mahanati Savithri,SVR & ANR are so excellent that we lack words to express the feeling of happiness one derives while viewing the clip.What a majestic walk- like that of a royal swan- Savithri puts in while moving towards piano!! What a great standing posture she displays-especially with her left hand beneath her left cheek!!The facial ex-pressions that she made through out the song is like adding fragrance to the goldness of the song authored by Samudrala Junior who eminently & befittingly proved that he was the most deserving son of his great father Samudrala Raghavacharya Senoir who epitomized excellent all time cine lyrics. Where r u Mahanati?In which celestial worlds r u sojourning?
Though looked somewhat pale & run down,ANR acted just as what the character demanded.Dignity & graveness of a rich father of a girl peep in SVR's action-especially while looking at faces of S & ANR alternatively.
I could not see the video clip of this song rendered by Leela too in the cinema.I could,of course see its Tamil version in the Face Book.I wish to see it.Will any one kindly help me?
